PDx-POP®

PDx POP is ICON’s software tool for expediting the iterative process of population pharmacokinetic modeling and analysis.

PDx-POP®

PDx-Pop® software provides an easy to use graphical user interface to expedite the iterative process of population pharmacokinetic modeling and analysis. Working in concert with NONMEM®, the "gold standard" in Population Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic modeling, MS Excel® and R or S-PLUS® Analytic Software, PDx-Pop delivers optimal flexibility, increased efficiency and added functionality.

Features:

  • Windows Vista, Linux and Mac OS X compatibility
  • Improved Modeling Management
  • Enhanced Data Management and Exploration
  • Real time plotting of objective function value to monitor progress graphically.
  • Efficient Post-Processing
  • Enhanced Report-Friendly Outputs
  • Automated Model Evaluation Methods
  • Tracking and Audit Trail
  • Detailed Help System
  • Automated plots for individual parameter estimates (QQ-plots, QQ-log plots, and histograms of parameters)
  • Automated plots for individual eta estimates (pairs plots, QQ-Plots and histograms of etas)

New features available in PDxPop 4.10:

Use of PDx-Pop 4 requires a licensed copy of NONMEM 7
Ability to use multiple CPUs on multi-processor systems for batched runs.

  • Real-time graphical monitoring of the objective function for all of the new estimation methods (including the Bayesian chain "caterpillar" plot and composite method runs)
  • Button-operated interaction with the NONMEM run:
    • toggle on-off printing of numerical iteration (Iterations)
    • gracefully end a problem (Next)
    • end NONMEM run gracefully (Stop)
  • Extended Summary Output (added features):
    • list of all estimation methods used in the run
    • statistical summary from final method
  • Multi-CPU capability to run NONMEM batchs simultaneously (on multi-CPU systems)
  • Graphical display of parameter sampling histories from Bayesian method
  • Automated setup and run of multiple MCMC chains (with randomized initial parameter estimates) simultaneously
  • Graphical display of multiple chains output (overlay plots of parameter histories and statistical summary from multiple MCMC chains)
  • Automated initial parameter variation test (simultaneous runs with randomized initial parameters)
  • New control file wizard to automate creation of control files including:
    • new estimation methods coding and options
    • composite methods (runs with multiple estimation methods)
    • automatic mu parameterization for library methods (ADVANS 1-4,10-12)
      • optional inclusion of error code for IPRE, IRES, IWRE
  • PDx-Pop can now run user-written S-Plus and R scripts that can be linked to a specified run to create automated custom output.
  • Free 30-day trial versions (with all features enabled) are available from our FTP site:  ftp://ftp.globomaxnm.com/Public/pdxpop/PDX-Pop4.0/

PDx-Pop 4.10 bug fixes:

  • Fixed bug in summary.exe program where %RSE and confidence intervals were not calculated for unsuccessfully terminated runs with $COV UNCONDITIONAL.
  • Fixed bug in the PDx-Pop control files wizards that gave a switched variance identifier ([p]/[a]) for the additive and proportional components of the additive plus proportional error model that could have resulted in calculation errors for the residual variance related to standard errors.
  • Fixed bug in PDx-Pop that failed to check and correct the run names for files with the .par, .eta, and .ext extensions with runs with Check Run Numbers checked
  • Fixed bug in the param.exe program that limited the number of etas extracted from the .res file to 15 or less
